In 2013, Delaware was awarded a five-year grant totaling $25 million from the National Institute of Health and the State of Delaware to promote Clinical Translational Research (CTR). The awarded grant was through a strategic partnership between the University of Delaware, Christiana Care Health System, Nemours, and the Medical University of South Carolina. The purpose of the grant is to seek and encourage new research that can lead to better health outcomes for the population of Delaware and beyond. Other objectives of the program are to provide mentorship for researchers and participant recruitment for various clinical trials. Barron Marketing Communications is pleased to have been chosen as the marketing partner for this program.
While there are, and have been, many such CTR programs throughout the world, Barron’s research revealed that a commonly-voiced shortfall, in the majority of such programs, was the lack of an identity; and, that strong branding had a tremendous positive effect on any such program’s ultimate success.
Barron provided name suggestions, the brand, logos and tag-lines. All were focus-grouped. We have developed ACCEL strategies, launch, marketing, web designs, etc., along with all materials showcased.
Early goals for ACCEL are to create the program infrastructure. Since there are four major institutions, Barron is helping to provide a neutral zone for communications that support the program, allowing the ACCEL brand to be independent in its own space. We also help serve as an interface of the partner institutions. As we create and deliver strategies, messaging, integration and packaging for this program/campaign, our goal is to provide strong awareness and lasting impact; thereby helping to ensure Delaware’s success towards acquiring future grants.
